Model Migrant Worker Award
Taiwan has been open to migrant workers for more than 30 years, migrant workers have come to Taiwan from their hometowns to contribute to public construction and care for those in need. They have long been an indispensable and important productive force in Taiwan!
Therefore, the government has added the 「Model Migrant Workers Award 」to the National Model Workers selection since year 2021 to publicly commend outstanding migrant workers for their contributions to Taiwan, so as to promote mutual respect between employees and employees and establish a positive and good labor-employer relationship.
In year 2024, at the suggestion of the local government, the Model Migrant Workers Award has been increased from 5 to 10. This shows that although the migrant workers are of different nationalities from us, their dedication and conscientious work have already been recognized by many parties, and their outstanding performance has made them People admire.

Paying tribute to 2024 model migrant workers
In year 2023, only 5 model migrant workers were selected. Based on the feedback fromthe public, the quota should be increased to recognize more outstanding migrant workers, so the quota was expanded to 10 in year 2024.
The 2024 National Model Workers were selected through the recommendations from local government who nominated qualified migrant workers to participate in the national selection and is organized by the Ministry of Labor. Among the 86 people who signed up for the model migrant workers this year, after many discussion and voting, 10 national model migrant workers were finally selected.
These 10 migrant workers all have more than 6 years of working experience. Their professional abilities and contributions are very impressive. 3 migrant workers have applied to become mid-level technical manpower and are rare and excellent manpower for employers. Other model migrant workers and employers will also apply for mid-level technical manpower to continue to make important contributions to Taiwan's industry and society.
